Marin Media Lab is a place for experiments in new media, contemporary performance and film produced by Marin Sander-Holzman.
Marin Sander-Holzman is a new media producer and consultant living in Brooklyn, NY. Marin has edited long and short form documentaries including the The Line, How to Lose Your Virginity and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer. He was the editor and contributing writer for the eight episode television series ARTSTAR, a collaboration with Deitch Projects following emerging artists in the New York contemporary art world. Marin’s editorial department feature film credits include The Laramie Project, The Woodsman, Lackawanna Blues, Off the Black, Shadowboxer, Shortbus, and Staten Island as well as television shows Dateline, The Today Show, and Frontline: The Jesus Factor. Marin also provides story consulting to independent documentaries and features.
Marin has collaborated on video works for contemporary performance with choreographers Yasuko Yokoshi, Anna Azrieli, Steven Reker/People Get Ready, Kim Epifano and Miguel Gutierrez.
Marin Media Lab recently created a performance and video installation at the Aunts Chain Curation event at Arts@Rennaisance combining live streaming video with an improvised movement score.
For the past four years Marin Media Lab has been working in partnership with the American Realness festival in New York City creating short documentary pieces on festival artists.
